He was born October 13, 1926, to John Edward and Geneva (nee Kline) Smith of Green Spring, WV. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jackie (nee Keller), his son Daniel Smith, his sister Beatrice L Cannon, Springfield, WV, and first wife Marion G (nee Arbogast) Smith, Springfield, WV. Don is survived by son Terry Smith, Wiley Ford, WV; granddaughter Tonya L Smith and great-grandson Nolan Daniel Smith, Cocoa Beach, FL; his sisters Rena K Wilson, Cumberland, Elaine M Hogbin, and husband Lee, Hagerstown, MD and Doris J Borg, Philadelphia, PA; brother-in-law Harold Keller, Sebring, FL. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Don attended Romney High. After serving in the Army during WWII, he started Smith Triangle Motors in Cumberland, MD and later in Cocoa Beach, FL. Don owned the Packard dealership in Cumberland, MD. Don and Jackie also were co-owners of Smith Mobile Homes and he sold real estate for many years. Don was also active in the FL Masonic Lodge. He was cremated and the inurnment at Hillcrest Burial Park Cumberland by family will celebrate his life in faith. At his request, there will be no additional services. Donations in his name may be given to either the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Philadelphia, PA or Hospice of Health First in Merritt Island, FL.
