Ted Wade passed away on August 3, 2017. Ted was born on May 1, 1938, on a cotton farm near Truman, Arkansas, to Dewey and Melinda Wade; the eighth of their 9 children. Ted's recollections of growing up on the farm with seven sisters, were enjoyed by all. As a young man, Ted went to work in Detroit, Michigan, where he met Jacqueline Surrett, his wife of 33 years. Together they raised two children who survive him, son, Brian Wade with wife Pennie, and daughter, Julli Morgan with husband, William. Ted became a Barber, building a shop in Port St. John, Florida, leading to many lifelong friendships, as did his grocery, gas station, laundromat, restaurant and land clearing business. Ted was a fan of auto racing, naps, and played a mean game of checkers. Also surviving Ted, his wife, Julie Martin Wade, and his step-children Jason Fernandez and Jessica Boase. Ted and Julie enjoyed 26 years together, much of which was spent with their seven grandchildren, Brittany Wade Robertson, Micah and Caleb Morgan, Gabrielle and Jaxon Fernandez, Cameron Currie and Carly Boase. Ted had a good life, and his family is forever thankful to have shared it with him. A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Port St John, FL on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.. Please bring your memories of Ted
