November 4th, 1951 - September 12th, 2017
Michael J. King passed peacefully on September 12, 2017. He was born in Providence,Rhode Island. Moved to Melbourne, FL. in 1999 from Warwick, Rhode Island. He is predeceased by his father, Vincent L. King. Survived by his mother, Rena (Michela) King of Providence, Rhode Island, his wife Cheryl L. (Newsome)King of Melbourne, FL., his brother Dennis L. King of Palm Bay, FL., and several nieces ,nephews ,cousins, and in-laws. Also, many great friends from Rhode Island and also, here in Florida. Michael was a Radiologic Technologist for over 40 years. He worked at Rhode Island Hospital for over 25 years prior to moving to Florida. Continued in his field at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Sebastian River Medical Center, and Wuesthoff Medical Center of Melbourne when the doors were opening . Also, a short time for First Medical Group of Melbourne. He was a teacher to many students over the years, in Florida and Rhode Island. Received awards at Rhode Island Hospital for Excellence in Teaching from his students. He always tried to pass along his many years of experience to them all. He loved the beach,sunshine,music, painting his tropical art, surfing, Hawaii and it's language,his two Siamese cats, Keiki and Maggie, and his wife, Cheryl of 43 years of marriage, and especially his early retirement. Michael will be missed terribly by all that knew him. He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law,and good friend to many over these years. May God bless him, and keep him in his graces. No services set at this time. Celebration of Life to be planned. Please make a donation to your own special charity in his name.
