Sergeant First Class Herbert F. Gay

Herbert F. Gay, 70, Rangered Up and peacefully deployed to heaven on Saturday, November 18th, on a beautiful, sunny day. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Vicki, and his stepchildren, Justin, of Mishawaka, IN; Derrik and his wife, Wendy, of Dahlgren, along with 6 grandchildren. Also survived by his loving sister, Mary Margaret, of Melbourne, FL, and several nieces. He was predeceased by sisters, Nancy and Barbara, and parents Ralph and Mary Gay, of Portsmouth, VA. He was a retired US Army Sergeant First Class of 20 years, a well respected 13 year Deputy of the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, a member, and former Post Commander of the Veteran's of Foreign War #4534, and a member and former PER of the Viera Elks Lodge #2817. Burial will be at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
