Nora Lee Boyd
August 30th, 1944 - August 16th, 2018
Nora Lee Boyd, of Rockledge, Fl. entered into this world in Bremerton, Washington on August 30, 1944. She departed for Heaven on August 16 ,2018 after multiple devastating strokes. She was the second of five children of Gene and Wilma Boyd. She graduated in 1962 from Washington High School in Sioux Falls, So Dak., and moved with her family to Rockledge, Fl., in 1964. Nora’s career was extremely diversified. After working as one of the first data programmers for RCA in the Tech Building, on Patrick AFB, she spent many years in bookkeeping and banking, and finally as an auditor for Waste Management. Her retirement lead her to many years in retail sales at Macy’s, and ending her career as a member of the Lowes Home Improvement family. Nora is joining in Heaven her parents, Gene and Wilma Boyd, who she cared for many of their years later in life, plus, her brother Phil Boyd ( Linda ) along with one of her cats “Pretty Boy” . She is survived by three sisters, Carol Boyd Nissen ( Larry ), of Merritt Island, Barbara Boyd Revels of Lexington, SC, and Mary Boyd Orahood, Rockledge. One sister in law, Linda Boyd, Port St John. Nieces, Shannon Tinker, Titusville, and Amber Fowler ( Jason ) , Merritt Island. Nephews, Shawn Boyd, Port St John, Ryan Smith ( Jill ), North Miami, Ricky Orahood (Kesoon )West Palm Beach, Mathew Revels (Cherie) , Lexington, SC and Adam Revels of Lexington, SC. Nora is also survived by Great nieces, Jennifer Haley(Jacob), Baytown, TX, Mariah Boyd, Port St John, Farah and Reese Fowler, Merritt Island, Zoey Orahood ,West Palm Beach , Kiley and Abigail Revels, Lexington, SC. Great nephews include, Richie Orahood, West Palm Beach, and Riley Fowler, Merritt Island. She is proud to be a Great Great Auntie to niece and nephew Avery Grace and Carter Dean Haley, Baytown, TX. Of her beloved kitties, only “Lucky “ is patiently waiting for her to return home and has been adopted by a very loving family. A memorial service celebrating Nora’s life will be held in the Chapel at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Viera, FL, on Saturday , August 25,2018 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Nora’s name to Brevard County Human Society.
