Harold Godfred Thompson Jr.

In the knowledge of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we announce that God’s good and faithful servant, Harold G Thompson Jr, has died and gone to join his parents, Harold and Marie, and brother Arnold in Heaven. Harold was a graduate of New Dorp High School on Staten Island, and earned a bachelors’ degree from Wagner College, a Master’s degree from Syracuse University, and a PhD from the University of Maryland. He was an active member of Faith Viera Lutheran Church, where he had been involved in lay ministry and adult bible classes. His most important role in life was loving husband to Carole Thompson, of Melbourne, Fl; father to Harold Thompson III of Tenafly, NJ, Debra Casey of Southborough, Ma, Matt Thompson of Melbourne, Fl, and Marcy Hebert of Waxahachie, Tx, and proud Pop-Pop to Jessica Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Johanna Casey, Megan Casey, Olivia Thompson, Kathryn Thompson and Christopher Thompson. He was also the beloved father in law of Tracy Thompson, Bill Casey, Kung Yee Thompson, and Bobby Hebert. Harold enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling all over God’s beautiful Creation to take in its splendor. The one Journey he prepared himself for his entire life, is the one that brings him to the gates of Heaven to be alongside our Lord, Jesus Christ. From there, he will forever watch over us all. Cheers to you, for being God’s faithful servant, a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, and best friend to so many. There will be a Memorial Service on Sat. Jan. 5th at 11 a.m. at Faith ‘Viera’ Lutheran Church on Viera Blvd. In Rockledge, FL. There will be a luncheon following in the fellowship hall.
