James (Jim) Lee Gauzens
December 16th, 1947 - October 18th, 2020
Jim Gauzens, 72, of Rockledge, Florida passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2020. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Vanessa (Gauzens) Vowell, son Chris (Stephanie) Gauzens. He was “Papa” to Brody, Braxton, Jordan and Cody. He is survived by his sister, Judy Corbisiero of Hendersonville, North Carolina and niece, Gina Nicholson of Hendersonville, North Carolina. He predeceased by his parents Ted and Aloise Gauzens of Cullowhee, North Carolina and son-in-law Daniel Vowell. He served in the US Army and in the Vietnam war. He went on to become an electrician with Florida Power and Light where he worked for over 35 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling, watching football (Go Canes!) and Nascar. He loved spending time with his family, tending to his yard and chasing the squirrels away from his bird feeders. Jim was an avid history buff. Viewing will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. followed by a funeral service Friday, October 23, 2020 at Beckman Williamson Funeral Home 5400 Village Drive Viera. Florida 32955. Military honors and burial will follow at 2:15 P.M. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery 5525 US Highway 1, Mims (Scottsmoor), Florida 32754. There will be an escort to the cemetery by the Brevard County Sheriffs deputies. You are welcome to dress as if you were stopping by his house.
