Jeanne Frances Allegra

Dr. Jeanne Frances Allegra passed away on April 23, 2021 at Viera Hospital in Viera, Florida after a many years struggle with breast cancer. She was born on September 4, 1950, the daughter of the late Fred and Teresa Allegra. She leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Gregory M. Murad, her daughter, Michelle A. Murad, her son, Andrew M. Murad, her daughter in law, Rita Murad, her grandchildren, Isabelle, Oliver and Jacob Murad and her brother James F. Allegra Dr. Allegra was born in Paterson, New Jersey. She graduated from Paterson Catholic High School, Rosemont College and Catholic University of America where she earned a Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology. She was licensed in the District of Columbia and State of Maryland. She practiced clinical psychology for many years in Silver Spring, Maryland and was well respected by her colleagues and clients. Her fight with breast cancer was heroic. Over 20 years ago she had her first occurrence. It reoccurred seven year ago. She did not let it stop her from leading a full life. A celebration of her life will take place in Maryland at a later date. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She loved her family and was well loved. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother in law and known as Gigi to her lovely grandchildren. Rest in peace Jeanne. Donations in Jeanne’s memory may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
