Susie Gray Fleming

Susie Fleming of Rockledge passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021. She was born September 12, 1941 to Woodrow and Florida Fleming in Clinchco, Virginia. Susie graduated from Clintwood High School as valedictorian of her class. She went on to graduate from the University of Virginia West Hampton with a Masters in Psychology. Susie met the love of her life, Roger, in Clintwood, Virginia and they married March 2, 1964. Shortly after that, Roger and Susie moved to Rockledge. Susie started her teaching career at Rockledge Elementary in 1964, moved to Golfview Elementary as Curriculum Coordinator, next to Cambridge Elementary as principal. When principal of Fairglen Elementary, after 40 years of serving Brevard County students, Susie retired. In retirement, Susie spent many years volunteering with the Cocoa Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Susie leaves behind her beloved husband, of 58 years, Roger, her cousins Johnny Mack Newberry (Peggy), Sammy Jack Newberry, Belinda Flournoy (Steve), and Gail Kiser (Jeff). Services will be held at Beckman Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Viera, Florida on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 2:00. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:30-2:00.
