Cordis Howard Foster
February 1st, 1972 - January 13th, 2021
Mr. Cordis Howard Foster died peacefully in his home surrounded by family and friends on January 13, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 48. Cordis is survived by his mother, Mrs. Karen Foster, Weatherford, Texas; wife, Denise Foster, Colorado Springs; his children, Haylie Fisher, Irmo, South Carolina; Challis Foster, Beau Foster, and Cookie Foster, Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sister, Carrie Foster, Weatherford, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, George Steve Foster, of Weatherford, Texas. Cordis was born on February 01, 1972 in Victorville, California to Robert and Karen Shaw. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1995 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He married Denise Murphy, the love of his life in 1995. After moving to Washington DC, he started his first assignment in the United States Air Force as a construction project manager. During the next 12 years, the couple welcomed four wonderful children into their home and Cordis participated with them on their life journeys filled with exciting adventure and demonstrated his unique skills in construction and engineering. His children remember him as a generous and intelligent father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Cordis was accomplished as a engineer, project manager and engineer whose intelligence was only surpassed by his generosity. He was a consummate history buff who loved the United States of America and was passionate about taking care of his family, friends, business associates and coworkers. He leaves behind an incredible legacy of military service, engineering, Charis Bible College construction, and a beautiful community at Villas at Northgate. A memorial service is scheduled for 4:30, January 28th, 2021 at East Side Church of Christ, 5905 Flintridge, Dr, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918. Due to the current COVID pandemic restrictions, no reception is planned. Pastor Eddie White will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cordis’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care at 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
