Henry Juan Billingsley
October 21st, 1932 - October 5th, 2021
Henry Juan Billingsley Jr., 88. Went to heaven to reunite with the love of his life Gloria; his wife of 66 years, on October 5, 2021, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born October 21, 1932, in Newnan, GA. he is predeceased by his parents, Henry J Billingsley Sr. and Alice O. Billingsley, Her sister Janie Crawley and husband Claude, His father’s brothers, Lonnie and Woodrow. Dad met his future wife to be Gloria at Little River school growing up in Miami. They would then go to separate high schools only to meet up again at high school football games as dad was in the marching band at Miami Jackson High school. He enlisted in the US Navy serving on the U.S.S. Hancock. It was there he learned his career path as a photographer. During this time in his life, he made the first of two most important decisions of his young life by deciding to stop over to visit his future wife Gloria at her parents’ house to show her his parents’ new car. It was there he would propose to her and asked her to marry him on his next leave. After they married in 1954, they would start their family in 1955, Having Bambi, their first-born daughter. The second most important decision he would make was to move his young family up to Brevard County in 1957 (After he finished serving in the Navy) and settle in Cocoa, FL. Our dad worked as a photographer enjoying his passion at Kennedy Space Center for most of his career. Many of his prized launch photos appeared in magazines. He also was a lifelong fan of the Miami Dolphins and Hurricanes. Dad was a 100% totally devoted family man. He enjoyed every day after work being with his young family. Spending time with each of us daily. As his family grew, he would participate in our school activities. he taught us life lessons every day and how to grow to be an adult. His discipline was well received as we learned right from wrong. Our Father is survived by his daughter Bambi Lynn Moletteire, His sons, Robert Juan and Douglas Joe Billingsley (Teresa), His Grandchildren, Logan and Noah Moletteire, Mariah and Mason Billingsley, Great Grandchildren Keegan, Saveria, Baylee and Jordyn Moletteire and Maverick and Makenna Augustin.
