Gloria Deloris Billingsley, 86. Went to heaven on February 23, 2021, after a courageous fight with various blood cancers. Born July 16, 1934, in New York. She is predeceased by her parents Joe Homer (Father), Robert (Stepfather) and Joan Blanton (Mother) and brother Mallory. Mom spent her early years in New York, then moved down to Miami after her mother remarried. She met her husband to be (Juan) in school at Little River where they became sweethearts. After they went to separate high schools, they’d meet up again at high school football games as he was in the marching band. Eventually after he enlisted in the Navy (on a leave) she accepted his marriage proposal in 1954. They started their family in 1955 with the birth of their daughter Bambi. In 1957, they moved from Miami to Brevard County and chose Cocoa, FL to settle. It was there that they purchased their first home in the Pine Ridge subdivision. Mom was a devoted Methodist and a homemaker. She ran the house, as she was completely loyal to her family. She was our leader and Boss. She enjoyed reading to us, cooking, doing laundry, and helping with our school homework. Every day she was teaching us lessons in life and setting examples to live by. Mom enjoyed volunteering and gave to many charities. She had a passion for raising two Boston terriers “Tuffy” and “Corky” (who she had a special attachment with during days we were away). They shared many a moment together as he would follow by her side to visit grandma next door and leave the same way. She loved watching him play with us and run around the backyard. Our mom enjoyed twice a year vacations with her husband Juan and Chauffeur son Robert up to visit relatives in Georgia and down south in Sarasota and Naples, Florida. Our mother is survived by her daughter Bambi Lynn Moletteire, Her sons, Robert Juan and Douglas Joe Billingsley (Teresa), Her Grandchildren, Logan and Noah Moletteire, Mariah and Mason Billingsley, Great Grandchildren Keegan, Saveria, Baylee and Jordyn Moletteire and Maverick and Makenna Augustin. A memorial service for Gloria and Henry will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Beckman Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Dr, Rockledge Florida. The family will greet friends from 10:30am until 11:00am, when the service will begin. There will be a reception to follow. In Lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Gloria's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.Stjude.com
