Victor Maki

Victor Maki, 72, of Suntree passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Viera Hospital. He was born on February 12, 1950, in Albany, New York and was the son of the late Edward and Helen O’Rourke Maki. Victor grew up in Albany, where he attended college and was active in the Army Reserves. He was self-employed for most of his life and was a successful small business owner. An avid golfer, Vic also played men’s softball and coached Little League baseball. He loved horse racing and enjoyed visiting Saratoga Race Track. Victor was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Helen O’Rourke Maki, brothers Edward, John, and Michael and sisters Jane, Rosemary, and Donna. He is survived by his former spouse, Kathleen Maki, of Indialantic, daughter Jennifer (Kyle) Maki-Dodge, of Vienna, Virginia and son, Scott Maki of Melbourne Beach, and grandchildren Madaline and Rylan Dodge of Vienna, Virginia. He is also survived by his brothers Donald (Gloria) and Bruce (Nancy) of Schenectady, NY, James of Ravena, NY, and sister Helene Hendrickson of Glens Falls, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life is being planned by the family.
