William H. "Papa" Kehoe
October 21st, 1942 - August 26th, 2023
William H. ‘Papa’ Kehoe of Rockledge, passed peacefully on August 26, 2023. Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eileen; children Eileen, Bill, Tim, and Chris; grandchildren Phillip Kersey, Morgan, Joshua Kersey, Austin, Helen, and Amelia; sisters Jane (EJ) Schultz, and Martie Cunningham. He is preceded by his parents William and Helen and sister Kathy DeMaile. Born in Port Jefferson, NY, the love for sports began in his early years and came from his father. He was a great athlete during high school, lettering numerous times. Bill joined the US Navy and after being discharged, he later met Eileen and they married June 26, 1965. Bill followed his parents to Florida in 1975. He and his wile Eillen believed Rockledge was a great place to raise their children. Over the years Bill became involved with the little league sports in which his sons participated. You could find him any day of the week watching each, encouraging, and cheering for them. When his children went through Rockledge High, he became a parent volunteer. Just about any weekday you could find Bill at McLarty Stadium. He so enjoyed lining the football field for the home games. Bill took great pride in making sure the Raiders always looked good. Later, Bill became an employee at Rockledge High. He worked as the football kicking coach and baseball coach. He was an important part of the Raider football State Championship teams’ winning. After retiring from RHS, you would still find Bill at the Raider football games. On many occasions you could find him in the endzone with his friends Pat Lusk and Charles Stockton. Bill encountered an enormous number of people along his journey. No matter the age, he was always there to help in any way. Whether you needed a ride, word of encouragement, or to just be there to listen, you could count on Bill. Bill loved his wife, children, grandchildren and being a Raider. A viewing will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Rockledge. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023. 12:00 noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1136 Seminole Drive, Rockledge.
