Allan Elliot Schoenfeld, 87, of Viera, Florida passed away peacefully at St. Francis Reflections Hospice in Melbourne, Florida on February 8, 2024. He was born in New York City in the borough of the Bronx to Harry Maxwell and Ann Greene Schoenfeld. Allan was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and also retired from a second career at USAA Credit Union, a beloved husband, cherished father, and proud grandfather and great grandfather. Surviving Allan is his loving wife, Rose, of 42 years, his children Debra Leopoldi (Roberto), Marcia Newton (Ron), Robert Schoenfeld (Sherry), Michael Schoenfeld, David Schoenfeld (Leah), Karen Dillard, Kathryn Singletary (Cliff), and Ken Smith (Diana); 17 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, and his nieces, Betty Noyes and Isabel Keller. In addition to his parents, Allan was preceded in death by his sister, June Durso and a niece, Ruth Schmick. The family would like to give a special thanks to St. Francis Reflections Hospice for their wonderful and loving care in his final days where he was surrounded by all his children and several grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 14th at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida. A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM at Temple Israel of Brevard and a Shiva Service at our home at 7PM, also on February 14th. A second night of Shiva will be at 7PM on February 15th, also at our home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Israel of Brevard, St. Francis Reflections Hospice, Hadassah of Brevard County, The Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choosing.
