A proud veteran, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024 at his home in Rockledge, Florida, at the age of 72. Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bonnie after 50 years of marriage, and his two children, Rachell (Myron), and Charlie, and his grandchildren Liam and Brenna. Charles is predeceased by his loving parents John and Juanita Redden, and his brother J.C. Redden. Charles was born in Ashland, Kentucky and moved to Cocoa, Florida in 1955. Upon graduating from Cocoa High School, Charles enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1971 and was stationed in South Korea. Charles worked for the City of Rockledge and then went on to work as a heavy equipment mechanic for EG&G at the Space Center. Charles had a kind heart, and cherished his loved ones. He was a steadfast rock that could always be counted on. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and integrity and will be deeply missed. Charles’ family will host a funeral service to honor and celebrate his life on April 18, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. The service will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery 5525 U.S. Highway 1 North Mims, FL 32754 In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association.
