Jean Harrington passed away peacefully on Feb. 22, 2024 at Viera Hospital in Melbourne, FL after losing the battle against a sepsis infection. She lived a fulfilled life of 84 years with many wonderful friends. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Jim. Dear mother to Kristin Millspaugh and son in law, Jim and to her predeceased son James. In addition, a loving grandmother to Steffan and Shelby. Predeceased by her wonderful mother Juanita (Millican) Turner and father James Tanner Turner. Jean was born in Atlanta, GA and moved to Brevard Co in 1962 where she started working for General Dynamics on LC 14 during the height of the Mercury Program. She quit working to raise her children and graduated from FIT in Melbourne. She then worked for NASA at KSC where she enthusiastically volunteered to take VIP’s to the Shuttle launch Viewing site for launches. Returning VIP’s would ask for “her” bus. Jean, took up golf after retiring, and thoroughly enjoyed playing the game. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at Faith Fellowship Church, 2820 Business Center Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32940 on March 8 at 1 PM. Donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
