Bessie Ann Thacker

Bessie Ann Thacker 80 of the Yuma Community, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Bessie attended Pink Hill Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was an avid shopper and also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. Bessie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garvey and Dona Mae Hensley; son-in-law, Michael Bean. Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Quinton Thacker; daughter, Patricia Bean; sons, Billy Thacker and wife Alice, Tim Thacker and girlfriend, Tammie Morris; grandchildren, Steven Thacker and wife Krystal, Whitney Yoakley and husband Terry, Chad Bean, Jaryd Thacker, Chase White, Emily Morris, and Grace Thacker; great-grandchildren, Jakob DeBord, Elijah Thacker, Joshua Woody, Sophie Woody, and Ryleigh Yoakley; sisters, Dorothy Fansler, Opal Thacker, and Patsy Minnich; brother, Buster Hensley; along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends from 5pm to7pm on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh, Rev. Fred Gilreath, and Pastor Jerry Scalf officiating. Music will be provided by the True Faith Quartet. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery with Steven Thacker, Jaryd Thacker, Chase White, Chad Bean, Jerry Fansler , and Mike Fansler serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Roberts, Roger Darnell, Tony Fansler, Terry Yoakley, Brian Thacker, and David Wininger. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15am to go in procession. The family will also receive friends anytime at Billy Thacker’s residence.
