Timothy Maurice Fields

Timothy Maurice Fields 56, of Duffield went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his residence. He was the son of Glenn and Beulah Faye Cox Fields. Tim grew up in the Stanleytown Community of Scott County, VA where he faithfully attended Stanleytown Community Church. He graduated from Rye Cove High School in 1980, and from Emory and Henry College in 1985. During the summers he was employed at Eastman Chemical Company, and after completing his education he worked at Eastman full time. At the time of his passing he was working there as an IT Systems Analyst. On June 4, 1988 he and Sheila Tomlinson were married. They made their home on Purchase Ridge Road near Duffield, VA. Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Fields; loving grandmother, Virginia Cox; grandfather, Rob J. Cox; paternal grandparents, George and Elizabeth Fields whom he never got to know. Survivors include his loving wife, Sheila Tomlinson Fields of the home; daughters, Brooke Alexandra Fields, of Johnson City and Madison Grace Fields, of the home; mother, Beulah Faye Fields, of Duffield; Myron Fields and wife Carolyn, of Duffield, Mark Fields and wife Marilyn of Newport, VA, and Terry Fields, of Duffield; nieces, Kristin Moye and husband Brandon of Pearisburg, VA , Emily Kaslin Fields of Seattle, WA; aunt, Joyce Fields Shell of Payson, Arizona; along with a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Larry Stallard and Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Tomlinson Family Cemetery with Roger Carter, Robert Bouton, Terry Carter, Mark Fields, Terry Fields, and Myron Fields serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be R.C. Tomlinson, Roger Davis, and Tracy Carter.
