Patsy ""Gerry"" Geraldine Brickey
January 18th, 1932 - November 24th, 2018
Patsy Geraldine “Gerry” Brickey, 86, of Church Hill went to be with Jesus on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Scott County, Virginia and lived the Majority of her life in Charlotte, N.C. moving to Church Hill in 1998. Gerry was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She attended McFerrin Methodist Church. Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Gail; parents, Forb and Vada Reed; brothers, Harlan and Jack Reed; granddaughter, Doreen Carter. Survivors include her sons, Sammy Brickey and wife Debbie, Terry Brickey and wife Anna all of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Yvonne Brickey of the home; grandchildren, Jessica Brickey, Jeff Carter, Nick Carter and Jack Carter; great grandchildren, Chealsea and Brayded; brother, Franklin “Sarge” Lynn Reed; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jon Reed officiating. Graveside services will follow at Holston View Cemetery with Jackie Woods, Brian Woods, David Sawyer, Roy Richardson, Phillip Lane, and Wayne Doran serving as pallbearers. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Brickey family.
