Robert D. McGee Robert D. McGee, 70, born June 18, 1948 of the Daniel Boone community of Gate City, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. His survivors include his wife, Judy B. McGee of the home and daughter, Misty M. McGee of Daniel Boone, brothers Ernest McGee and wife Gloria, Lewisburg, OH; Kenneth McGee, Kentucky; his Mother-in-law Inez Bishop, Duffield; Brother-in-law Tony Bishop, wife Teresa and their son, Will of Gray, TN. Mr. McGee was preceded in death by his parents James and Ruby McGee. Mr. McGee was a Vietnam Veteran achieving the rank of Sergeant and retired from Eastman Chemical Company with 32 years of service. Visitation and funeral services will be Thursday from 11-1 pm at Carter Trent/Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jeff DeBoard officiating. Music will be provided by Marcus Smith. A military graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with the honors conducted by American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. The family requests no food and asks in lieu of flowers, donations be given to a charity of your choice. The McGee family extends love to a whole host of family and friends. Scott County Funeral Home will be serving the McGee Family.
