Henry Lee Potter, 85, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 29th, 2019 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He was born on December 7, 1933 to the late Joe and Maggie Potter in Tacoma, Virginia. Henry was a kind-hearted man who enjoyed helping others. He will be missed. Henry was retired from B. F Goodrich, Woodburn, Indiana. He since has worked as a mechanic along with one of his best friends, Leonard Smith, Breininger Road, Hicksville, Ohio. He is survived by his daughters, Tommie (Huss) Sampson (Randale), Nickelsville Virginia, Bonnie Smith, Paulding, Ohio, and Ann Beavers (Randy), Shang Hai, China, and a sister, Lucille Branch, War, West Virginia, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Phyllis Watts, Duane Watts, and Henrietta Leslie. He was preceded in death by Michael Potter, Paulding, Ohio, Marie McIntosh, Houston, Texas, Betty Thomas, Mark Center, Ohio, Joe Potter, Fort Wayne, Indiana, John Potter, Sherwood, Ohio, and Rita Boggs, Stryker, Ohio. As he wanted, there will be no services. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, 18741 Veterans Memorial Highway, P. O. Box 289, Dungannon, Virginia, 24245.
