Nickelsville – Hazel Virginia Morris Scott, 94 of Nickelsville, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Abingdon Health and Rehab in Abingdon, VA. Born in Wise County, she had lived in Nickelsville for most of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her and she made Nickelsville and the world a more beautiful place. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Teenie” Scott her daughter, Myralyn Shayne Scott. Hazel is survived by her daughter, Irana Scott; sons, Ivan Scott and wife Jan and Roger Scott and partner Janice Raymer; grandchildren, Brian Scott, Diane Murphy, Tiffany Scott, Morgan Culbertson; great-grandchildren, Gabby Kiser, Lexi Scott, Charlie Scott, Sam Kiser, Annabelle Murphy, and Alice Kiser; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, October, 7, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. A funeral service will follow at 7p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bill Rines officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Temple Hill Memorial Gardens in Castlewood, VA. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
