Mary Lucille McDavid

Mary Lucille Patrick McDavid 92, of Weber City, VA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Mary was born in Russell County, VA to the late Willie and Pinkie Patrick. She later moved to Michigan where she resided for 44 years before returning to Scott, Co. Mary was kind and loving to her family. She loved music, dancing, and spending time with those she loved. Mary will forever be remembered for her sweet and feisty personality. She brought joy and gave inspiration to everyone who knew her. Mary will be greatly missed by all. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Cecil McDavid; two sisters, Irene Bowen and Lois Blair; two brothers, Howard and Robert Patrick. Those left to cherish her memory include her four daughters, Mary Banks (Frank), Teresa Sue Minnick (Dennis), Sharon Utsman (Rick), and Cathy Gorney; ten grandchildren, Frankie Banks, Ryan Banks (Donna), Roger Pryor (Angela), Scott Pryor (Melissa), Joseph McDavid (Paula), Lindsey Cowden (Matt), Heather Collings, Chris Sexton (Ashley), Jennifer Hensley, and Jaclyn Cowden (Dave); three step-grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patricia Patrick; along with many special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Phillip Free officiating. Music will be provided by the New Life Singers. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Holston View Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15pm. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the McDavid family.
