January 17th, 1937 - December 9th, 2019
Glen Arnold, 82 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, Monday December 9, 2019 at his home after an extended illness. He was employed and retired from Kingsport Press, City of Kingsport and Roberts Tire and Recapping. He was of the Baptist faith. His hobbies were working; he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandbabies. He was a loving husband of 64 years and a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Trula Arnold of Sarasota, FL; several brothers and sister of Sarasota, FL. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Faye Arnold; son, Terry Arnold and wife Lori; daughters, Debbie Winkle and spouse Jr., Connie Noe and spouse Greg; grandchildren, Shawn (Nikki), Ayla (Mark) Thor, Nicholas, Brianna, Logan; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Brett and Alexa; brother, Jackie of Sarasota, FL; sister, Diana of Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday December 11, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Larry Browder, Rev. Benny Mauk and Rev. Charles Roberts officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10am on Thursday December 12, 2019 at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Shawn, Thor, Nicholas, Logan, Brett, Jr., Greg and Mark. Honorary pallbearers will be Ezra Huffman and Alvin Roberts.Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50am. In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Arnold family.
