Robby Neal Wagner

Robby Neal Wagner, 53, of Gate City went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. He was born in Kingsport, TN to Bobby and Roberta Wagner. Robby was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his children and teaching them everthing he knew. Robby was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Wagner. Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Angela Wagner; son, Neal Wagner; daughter, Emma Wagner; mother, Roberta Wagner; sister, Kristen McConnell and husband Bobby; nephews, Vaughn McConnell and wife Holly, Nathan McConnell and Miranda Fields; niece, Holly McDavid and husband Hunter; great-nephews and nieces, Wade, MJ, Edie, Archer, Moses, Murphee, Benjamin, and Millie; special friend, Randy Lane; along with a host of friends and extended family. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Hunter McDavid officiating. A private graveside service will be conducted. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to defer funeral expenses. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Wagner family.
