Shirley Lee Wolfe Bledsoe, 67, of Duffield, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning of April 1, 2024. She was born in Kingsport, TN in 1957 to Hiram and Margie Wolfe. Shirley graduated from Rye Cove High School in 1975. In August, 1975 she married the love of her life, Larry Bledsoe, Sr. They were married for 48 years. Shirley accepted her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a lifelong member of Wolfe’s Church. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Margie Wolfe; sister, Marie Gamble; sister-in-law, Shelby Payton, and brothers-in-law, David Bledsoe and Harold Brackett. Those left to carry on her memory are her husband, Larry Bledsoe; sons, Wayne Bledsoe (Tammy), Lee Bledsoe (Lacy), Scott Bledsoe, and daughter, Ashley Wallace (Henry). Shirley has eight grandchildren she loved and adored including Katie Hartsock (Dakota), Jalen Bledsoe, Virginia Bledsoe, Frankie Bledsoe, Amy Bledsoe, Chance Wallace, Neva Wallace, and Haylee Bledsoe. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry (Brenda) Wolfe; sister, Brenda (Phil) Hoskins and sister-in-law, Betty Horn. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Scott County Funeral Home and anytime at the residence. Services will follow with her son, Wayne Bledsoe providing the eulogy and Brother Rex McMurray and Pastor Justin Strong officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her loving Grandchildren. In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, she will be cremated following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wolfe’s Church, 288 Limestone Valley Rd, Duffield, VA 24244 or to a charity of your choice in Shirley’s memory. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, VA is in charge of the arrangements.
