Carmen Maritza Rodriguez, affectionately known to her family and friends as Camelia or Flaka, passed from this life on May 19, 2024, at the age of 28, in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona. The details surrounding her untimely passing have not been disclosed.
Carmen was born in the City of Phoenix on January 1st, 1996.
Born into the loving arms of her mother, Lorena Maritza Rodriguez, and her father, Jose Alberto Salcido, Carmen was a beacon of independence and compassion throughout her life. She was raised alongside her sister, Lorena Rodriguez, and her brother, Marcell Ibarra, under the caring guidance of her mother and beloved stepfather, Albert Ibarra.
Carmen's spirit was characterized by her boundless energy and her innate desire to nurture those around her. Her calling as a caregiver allowed her to extend her warmth and kindness to those in need, touching the lives of many with her generosity and dedication.
A passionate traveler, Carmen found solace and adventure in the beauty of nature, with Mount Lemmon and A Mountain among her favorite retreats. Her zest for life and her unwavering support for her dear daughter, Cienega, will remain a testament to her loving nature.
Carmen's family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring her memory at a memorial service to be held at Angel Valley Funeral Home. The service will take place on June 8th, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, located at 2545 N Tucson Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85716.
