James Lewis Nelson
March 1st, 1931 - June 29th, 2020
James Lewis Nelson Born 3-1-31 died 6-29-20 Jim was born in Wisconsin to Nels and Ila Mae Nelson. He attended the University of Nebraska. Jim joined the Air Force where he held many different positions throughout his military career including Arial photographer, loadmaster and recruiter where he achieved the rank of Master Sargent. He served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He formed his company, Nelson Aviation where he designed and sold products for pilots across America. His brother, Arapahoe County Sheriff, Ed Nelson and his beautiful bride of 54 years, Louann Nelson, preceded him in death. He is survived by his 4 children, Ed (Val) Nelson, Barbara Nelson Shivers(Dave Cerqua) , Tracy (Jim) Hammons and Sandy (David) Finley. He is also survived buy 10 grandkids and several great grandchildren. He will be placed with Louann at Fort Logan National Cemtery on July 14th 1:15 PM Staging area “C”
