Evon Greene Scroggins

Evon Scroggins was born October 26, 1940 in Washington D.C to the late Agnes Greene and William Valentine. She departed from this life suddenly at her home on December 24, 2015. She was a member of Brookland Union Baptist Church in Washington DC. She lived and worked in the Washington DC metropolitan area for over 50 years. Evon received her education from Margret Murray Washington Vocational High School where she studied Home Economics. She worked various occupations, including environmental services, sales and child care. She was a founding member of the Charmlites Social Club Inc., founded in1968. She enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts and spending time with family. She was a master at creating beautiful artistry. She is survived by her three sons, Reginald Scroggins, Wendell Scroggins and Antoine Allain, grandchildren Devin Scroggins and Alexis Wallace, sisters' Mary P. Schmidt and Patricia James (Andrew), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Evon was preceded in death by her late mother Agnes Greene and her father William Valentine and her husband's Reginald Scroggins and Anthony Allain Sr.
