Charles Robert Poling
February 1st, 1961 - January 10th, 2024
It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Charles "Charlie" Robert Poling on January 11, 2024. Charlie's unexpected death occurred at his home in Silver Spring, MD. He tripped, fell and hit his head, then never woke up. Charlie was 62 years old and is survived by his mom, Helga, his brother, Tom and sister, Sue along his long time girlfriend, Katie and many aunts, cousins and friends. Charlie was born in Reutlingen Germany to Charles William Poling and Helga Renate Poling. Growing up in a military family, Charlie got to see many parts of the world and joined the military himself for a short time. Leaving the military, he made his living in the construction industry, including building homes, renovations and landscape design. Remembering Charlie as a child he was lively, handsome, healthy, adventurous, athletic and charming. As an adult he kept all of those childhood qualities and was, without exception, the fun guy who never turned his back on a celebration. While Charlie did have some struggles in life he was, without fail, generous, kind, good-hearted, compassionate and loving. We will miss him dearly
