Melanie Nicole Van Deusen, 25, of Greensboro, NC passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020. She was born February 10, 1994 in Greensboro, NC to Edwin R. Van Deusen and Laurel Perry Van Deusen. A gathering to celebrate her life will be Saturday, January 11, 2020, 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm, at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel, 300 W. Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27408. Melanie attended Colfax Elementary, Kernodle Middle School, and Northwest High School. She was a graduate of UNC-G and majored in Event Planning. She loved the beach especially Oak Island; and was a shining light among her friends and family, whose light was put out too soon. In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory include brother, Russell; grandmother, June Zingg; aunts, Paula Dragone and Linda Blann; uncle, Hooker Doolittle; great aunts and uncles, Kitsy Westmoreland, Nancy & Nelson Wall, Bradford Youngman; loving cousins, Rip (Susan), Sallie Richardson and family, Margaret, Stevie, Lucio, Will, Katherine, Molly, Miles, and the Coon family; and a large community of friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
