Mr. Alan Banks McMasters, 52, of Greensboro, died Friday, February 5, 2010, at Moses Cone Hospital. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, conducted by Reverend Jim Cates. Mr. McMasters was born October 14, 1957 in Guilford County, to the late Ray McMasters and Dorothy Thompson McMasters. He was a graduate of Grimsley High School where he excelled in basketball and baseball. Mr. McMasters is survived by his wife, Faye McMasters; son, Marty Phillips and wife Desiree, of Charlotte; grandson, Banks Phillips; mother, Dorothy McMasters, of Greensboro; sister, Claudia Kapur and husband Drew, of Philadelphia; brothers, Reed McMasters and wife Paula, of Mt Pleasant, SC, Randy McMasters and wife Dee, of Orlando, FL. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Sunday, prior to the service, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to Tabernacle Baptist Church 1201 S.
