Mr. John Albert Boyd, 69, of Greensboro, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Wesley Long Hospital. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, April 30th, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home with Chaplain Pamela Carrington Holder officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Boyd was born May 17, 1946, in Union County, New Jersey to Richard and Helen Mills Boyd. He was married for over 47 years to Susan Miller Boyd, and retired from Gilbarco where he worked as an Electronics Technician. He was a thoughtful, giving person and had a passion for cooking. Family gatherings were always centered around the kitchen table. Mr. Boyd is survived by his loving wife, Susan M. Boyd; daughter, Laura K. Boyd; son, Michael J. Boyd and wife Amy; granddaughters, Claire Boyd and Erin Boyd; sister, Virginia Sampson (Allan); brother, Ronald Boyd and wife Phyllis.
