Richard Buck Thompson

Richard Buck Thompson, age 89 passed away December 2, 2017 at Alamance House in Burlington, NC. A funeral service will be held Thursday December 7, 2 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. Richard was born February 26, 1928 to the late Oscar Thompson and Agnes Lancaster Thompson in Angier, NC. He also worked for Cone Mills as a sewing machine mechanic. Surviving are his daughter Pam Huffines, son Ray Thompson, grandson Phillip Thompson and granddaughter Kristen Huffines, and sister Peggy Howard. Preceding him in death along with his parents Oscar and Agnes Thompson are his wife Naomi Thompson and sisters Opal Quaid and Rachel Bass. Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted… ". Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1 pm until 2 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
