Robert "Bob" Wesley Smith
February 12th, 1927 - December 17th, 2014
Mr. Robert "Bob" Wesley Smith, 87, of Greensboro, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014. He is now at home in with his loving Heavenly Father. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 am Friday, December 19th at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Robert was born February 12, 1927, in Boston, Massachusetts to Hiram and Ruth McKeon Smith. He served in the US Army during WW II and retired from Sears after over 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and help to distribute St Pius monthly news. He volunteered with Mobil Meals and loved to travel. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marie L. Smith; children, sons, Thomas Smith and wife Lorri, Richard Smith, Barbara Harris and husband Eddie; and Gregory Smith and wife Tina; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 202 Center Port Drive, Greensboro, NC 27409 or the Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
