Edna Elkins Moore

Edna Elkins Moore, 95 of Greensboro, NC, passed away on Friday morning, November 3, 2017 at Guilford House Assisted Living. She was born June 24, 1922, the daughter of David R. Elkins and Mamie Self Elkins. She was a graduate of Greensboro Senior High School, now Grimsley, and began her work career at Jefferson Standard Life Insurance and Southern Oxygen. She retired after 30 plus years from Communications Workers Of America where she was office manager. Her parents predeceased her, as well as her two brothers, David and Richard. Edna was married to the love of her life, Robert H. "Bob" Moore for over 40 years until Bob sadly passed away in 1997. Left to cherish Aunt Edna's memory are niece, Judy Elkins Jones and nephew David Elkins. A special thanks to Nora Elkins and Jerry Jones for their loving care and assistance for Mrs. Moore. There will be a private graveside service on Thursday afternoon, November 9, at 2 pm at Guilford Memorial Park.
