Dorothy "Jeannette" Leonard Combs Mrs. Dorothy "Jeannette" Leonard Combs, 77, passed away on June 6, 2014 at her home after many health problems. She was born in Davidson County to Edgar D. and Ruth Agnes Brooks Leonard on July 12, 1936. She was married to Ernest Roscoe Combs for 58 years. Jeannette's funeral service will be 3:00 pm Monday, June 9, 2014 at Friendship United Methodist Church with Reverend Tim Drum and Reverend Rick LeBaube officiating. The interment will follow at the church's cemetery. Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Rebecca L. Combs; and a son-in-law Thomas "Bear'e" Combs Blackbear'e. She is survived by her husband; her son, Lyle E. Combs (Sharon Campbell) of Gibsonville; two daughters, Sabrina C. Soyars (Roger) of Brown Summit, Lavinia M. Combs of McLeansville; grandsons, Bryant E. Combs, Randall W. Soyars, Ernest D. Combs, Zane T. Combs; step-grandson, Timothy Torian; granddaughter, Ashley I. Combs (Edward Roy); great-grandchildren, Julie Roy, Lilly Roy, Mercie Martin, Jazmine Combs; step-great-grandson, Kevin Hazelwood and special friends, Eric Loflin and Brittney Davis and many other family members. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. The family request that memorials be given to the Friendship United Methodist Church Choir.
