Maralynn P. Nance, 90, left this earth to join her precious Lord Jesus on May 8, 2013. Maralynn was born on February 10, 1923 to Charles F. and Mary Keady Pearce in Jersey City, New Jersey. The funeral service will be on Monday, May 13, 2013 in the chapel of Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Don Miller officiating. The interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Maralynn graduated from business school in Jersey City and a short time later met her future husband, Tom, on a train from Florida to New Jersey during WW II. Maralynn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who completely devoted her entire life to her family. A full-time homemaker, she was a driving force in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Geraldine Pearce. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas, of 66 years; daughters-Valarie Fitz-Gerald, Daphne Brooks and husband Ken and son, Thomas G. Nance II and wife Michelle of Mt. Holly; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for their tender care over the years and Beacon Place for comforting last days. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Peter Ennever who prayed her to health many times over.
