Sharon Compton Sandlin Sharon Compton Sandlin, 69, died at Wesley Long Hospital on December 13, 2012. Sharon was born in Burlington, Iowa on July 26, 1943 to Frank and Naomi McGrue Johnson. Sharon's funeral service will be Sunday December 16, at 2:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with her interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 5120 Burlington Road in Greensboro. Reverend Tom Raven will be officiating. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Richard Sells. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; her 14 children, Deena Owens, Joe Sells, Shawn Scott Sells, Sherry Blankenship, Norman Phillips, Jamey Compton, Jolean Compton, Travis Compton, Ty Compton, Julie Girardin, Chris Sandlin, Scott Sandlin, Jennifer Sandlin Smith, John Sandlin; and there are way to many grandchildren and great grandchildren to count who loved Sharon with all their heart. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
