Mrs. Barbara Hopkins-Williams, 66, of Greensboro died on Friday January 13, 2012. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, January 14, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 1 pm, on Monday at Harlowe United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4261 Hwy 101, Newport, NC 28570, with the Reverend Syd Stewart officiating with Bell-Munden Funeral Home assisting. Mrs. Hopkins-Williams was born in Guilford County, April 6, 1945 to Maurice and Ruth Nelson Anderson. She loved her animals, her flowers and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Mrs. Hopkins-Williams is survived by her husband Gary C. Williams; a son, Wally Hopkins and wife Trisha of Brown Summit; step-daughter, Krista Bunting and husband Danny of Winterville, NC; sisters, Shirley Ashley, Frances Levan, and Diane Mabe and husband Roger; grandchildren, Emily Hopkins, Ryan Hopkins, Heath Hopkins, Emma Grace Bunting, and Kennedy Bunting. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harlowe United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, Attention Jim Shady, 126 Shell Landing Road, Beaufort, NC 28516, or Cone Health Cancer Center, 501 N. Elam Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27403.
