Mr. Wade Smith Morris, 88, of Greensboro, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at St. Gale's Manor. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens. Mr. Morris was born March 16, 1923 in Guilford County to Jesse and Mary Southern Morris. He served in the US Army during WW II and Korea and was married to the late Mozelle P. Morris. He was an avid bowler, played and coached soft ball, and loved to travel. Mr. Morris is survived by his daughter, Vicki M. Scott and husband Raymond; grandchildren, Michael Archer (Tammy), Michelle Scales, Marc Scott (JoAnn) and Matthew Scott (Christine); great-grandchildren, Kelly, Jason, Ashley, Kirstyn, Justin, Abby, William, Katelyn, and Peyton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Marc and JoAnn Scott 307 Overman Street, Greensboro, NC 27410.
