GREENSBORO Mr. Dewey 'Dee' Deems McDade, Jr. Mr. Dewey 'Dee' McDade, Jr. age 69, passed away Sunday October 10, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital. Private memorial services will be held on Thursday for extended family and friends reception to follow at the home of Todd and Laura McDade,10 Middlefield Court at 1:00 pm Mr. McDade was born April 6, 1941 in Greensboro to Dewey McDade, Sr. and Esther Parrish McDade. He was a well known salesman from his 40 years of service to Hartshaffer and Marx. Dewey was a Shriner, a Mason,an avid golfer and most importantly a survivor. Survivors include Rebecca Slate McDade, three sons; John McDade and wife Melinda, Dewey McDade III (Trip), Todd McDade and wife Laura; four grandchildren Austin McDade, Kendall McDade, Sydney McDade, Graham McDade; a sister Virginia McDade Gourley and husband Willard, two nieces Lisa Gourley Warren, and Martha Gourley Jubera. The family will receive friends Wednesday October 13, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Oriental Shrine Club,5010 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC 27407 or to Masonic and Eastern Star Home, 700 South Holden Road, Greensboro , NC 27407 Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home is assisting the McDade family.
