Pamela Turner Roberts
October 3rd, 1946 - May 4th, 2018
Pamela Turner Roberts passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 4, 2018, at her home in Kernersville, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucile H. Turner, and her father, William N. Turner. She is survived by her son, Brian Roberts (wife Ellen Dano), of Santa Monica, CA, and by her sister, Diane Turner Shields, of Greensboro, and by a group of very special friends. Pam grew up in Greensboro, and graduated from Grimsley High School. She attended Wake Forest University, earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology. She spent her career working with middle school children as a guidance counselor at Jamestown Middle School and Northwest Middle School. All of the family were faithful Wake Forest Deacons, with her son also attending the university. The greatest joy of her life was her son, Brian. She loved being a Baseball Mommy and Basketball Mommy as he was growing up. Many, many hours were spent sitting on bleachers and traveling to games. She enjoyed every minute! She loved dogs, mountains and the beautiful scenery of America. In 2003, she and her sister traveled to Alaska. During the summer of 2017, they journeyed across the country, spending 31 days visiting the beautiful National Parks of America. The trip was one of the many joys of her life as it also included 10 days with her son and daughter-in-law in California. She and her sister had recently talked about where to go next. A celebration of Pam’s life will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral & Cremation Service. Online condolences may be offered at www.lambethtroxlerfuneralhome.com
