John Franklin Prosser, Sr., 75, of West Columbia, entered into eternal rest on September 20, 2018. He was born February 18, 1943 to the late Refus and Neva Sanders Prosser. Frank is a United States Navy Veteran; he was a member of Lexington Church of God and former owner of Prosser’s Floor Covering. He loved fishing, and was a volunteer at South Congaree Fire Department. Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edwina Spires Prosser; sons, John Prosser, Jr. (Gabriela) of Sumter, Kevin Prosser (Cheryl) of West Columbia, Dwayne Prosser (Bobby) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Heather Jones (Jeff), Brent Prosser (Sara), Chad Prosser (Sabrina), Katerina Fagan (Blake), Casondra Bracken (Drew); great grandchildren, Karaline Fagan, Kayleigh Fagan, Emma Prosser, Matthew Marsh, Ande Lyn Prosser, Alden Prosser, Addy James Prosser, Ethan Jones; brothers, Mitchell Prosser (Sylvia) of John Island, Willis Prosser (Linda) of Pamplico, Mike Prosser (Ann) of Conway; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to Frank’s parents, he is predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth Prosser, Jane Gore, Carrie Lee Prosser and Lynette Tanner; brothers, Clarence Prosser and Tommy Prosser. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Funeral service for Frank will be held Monday, September, 24, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Lexington Church of God, 1331 Nazareth Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Frank’s honor to Lexington Church of God Building Fund, 1331 Nazareth Road, Lexington, SC 29073. The family would like to share a special thanks to JoAnn Glover, and Dana Innes.
