Robert Lee Suggs, 67, passed away on December 27, 2018, at his home, in Irmo, SC. He was born on April 12, 1951 in Del Rio, Tennessee to Charles E. Suggs and Mary Judith Orr Holt. Mr. Suggs joined the Air Force in 1970 and served for 7 years as an aircraft fuel systems technician, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Suggs was honored to devote 4 years of his service as an Air Force One maintenance crew member. Mr. Suggs was preceded in death by his father, Charles Suggs and Sister, Diane Suggs Coleman. Mr. Suggs is survived by his sons, Robert P. Suggs of Lexington, SC; Arron L. Suggs of Ellenboro, NC and C. Brandon Suggs of Woodruff SC. Brothers, Daryl Suggs, Billy Dale Holt and James Suggs of Newport, Tennessee. Proud to be known as “G-Man” by his grandchildren, Mary-Baylus, Payton, Carter and Kayden Suggs. Mr. Suggs will be laid to rest at the site of his birth in Del Rio, TN. A memorial service will be held at the Suggs family cemetery in Del Rio, TN.
