Rhonda Delight Kirkland, 56, resident of The Nancy McConnell Home, Lancaster, passed away on June 26, 2019 at MUSC Lancaster Hospital. Born December 12, 1962 in Columbia, she was a daughter of Sara Matthews Kirkland Ard and the late O. Dwight Kirkland. She was affiliated with Cherokee Presbyterian Church. In addition to her mother, Sara Ard of Lexington, she is survived by two sisters, Lisa Mendenall and husband Rob of Gilbert and Debbie Krupitzer and husband Carl of San Francisco; one brother, Steve Ard of Lexington; four nephews and three nieces. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 12 Noon from the Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Rob Cely officiating. A visitation and reception will immediately follow at the funeral home. Those wishing to make memorials may do so to The Nancy McConnell Home, 219 Plantation Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Cherokee Presbyterian Church, 3622 Augusta Hwy, Gilbert, SC 29054. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the Ard family.
