Obituary for: Mrs. Betty Ann Lynch Betty Ann Lynch, (nee Simon) of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at home with her beloved family by her side. She was aged 87 years. Legacy Betty Ann grew up in Woodbury NJ and was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. She married James Thomas Lynch (deceased) and raised their four children in Brooklawn New Jersey. She devoted her life to supporting the growth, health and happiness of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a person of strong faith and lived a life that was defined by loyalty, generosity and the guiding principle that “doing good is its own reward”. She found great personal comfort in the bible study she practiced throughout her life. Known to be an independent thinker and creative problem solver, she was rarely at a loss for a way to address a problem or fill a need. Betty Ann’s genius was most obvious when resources and conventional solutions were not readily available. Whether it was life’s normal challenges or something more serious, she could be counted on to help you see that God always provides for what you need and your ability to use it for the best possible outcome. Betty Ann’s approach to all things in life was to consider the needs and feelings of others first. Their strongly held opinions and beliefs were as important to her as her own and always recognized as an opportunity to learn. Her ability to find good in everyone, respect and honor differences and make those qualities obvious to everyone that she came in contact with was the basis for the many loving and enduring relationships she enjoyed during her lifetime. In addition to raising a family, Betty Ann’s career included many years working in child care, where she would treat each child as her own and offer parental wisdom to parents that needed it. She also enjoyed her many years working at Kmart, where she found friends who made work enjoyable and continued as life-long friends after retirement. Family Beloved daughter of Catherine Simon; dear sister of Richard Simon (Carole), Catherine M. (William), Eugene (Elsie), Joan (Donald); devoted and loving mother of Anne Marie DeWan (James), Jeffry Lynch (Rosie), Melinda DiCiurcio (Andrew) Bryan Lynch (Michelle); grandmother of Katherine (Giovanni), Kevin (Katelyn), Mackenzie, Kasey, Trevor, Noah, Lily, Nolan, Connor and Louis; great grandmother of Pasquale and Charlotte. McGuinness Funeral Homes - Woodbury

We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family....
