Robert J. "Gus" Ward, 67, of Thorofare, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Legacy A kind gentleman, Gus always put others needs before his own. A resident of Thorofare for the past 27 years, he was owner of Sherwood Deli. Neighbors would often find Gus enjoying his daily strolls through town. He would especially enjoy Halloween time where he would wear a mask for the holiday. Going to the Texaco breakfast club, watching sports, taking helicopter rides and watching channels such as National Geographic, History and CNN kept him up to speed on current events. Family Beloved husband of 27 years to Nancy L. (nee Urban); devoted father of Brian (Lisa) Campbell, Jennifer Campbell, Bryan Ward, Timothy Ward, Andrew Ward; loving grandfather of many grandchildren including Madison, Caleb, Levi, Lily, Luke and Jeremy; brother of Linda Eastlack. Gus is survived by many loving in laws and predeceased by his parents, Henry J. and Elizabeth C. (nee Rodebaugh). Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gus's visitation on Friday, 10:00 - 11:00 am At the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ where the Memorial Ceremony will follow at 11:00 AM.
