Melton Roof Bundrick

Melton Roof "Bub" Bundrick, 89, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away March 12, 2020 at home. He was born on June 13, 1930 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Virgil Lee Bundrick, and the late Estelle (Lee) Bundrick. Bub is survived by his loving daughters, Candace (Murray) Fant, and Ramona (Rick) Myers. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jason (Noel) Fant, Jamie Fant, Drew Myers (Kalyn Rush), and Trent Myers (Alicia Dahl); his great-grandchildren, Logan Kate, Drayton, and Christian Fant; and several nieces and nephews. Bub is predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Peggy Hall Bundrick; a brother, Virgil Lee Bundrick Jr; and his sister, Juanita Bundrick Adams. Bub was well known and respected by many. He and his wife Peggy owned and operated City Garage and Body Shop for 36 years in the city of Columbia. Bub was a loving and generous man to his family, friends and those in need. One of his greatest joys was being “Granddaddy Bub” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church and a lifetime member of Sinclair Masonic Lodge and Jamil Shriners. The family will receive friends at Green Hill Baptist Church, 1734 Augusta Road West Columbia ,SC 29169 on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 1:00PM - 2:00PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM. Interment will be held at Woodridge Memorial Gardens, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072 at 3:00PM following the funeral service. Memorials may be made to James Player Class at Green Hill Baptist Church,1734 Augusta Rd. West Columbia, SC 29169. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.thompsonsfuneral.com
